Tighe Mo Cridhe (Ty mo cree) cottage
is located ½ ml from Dornie village on the southern shore of Loch Long. In Gaelic, the name means
“home of my heart” and the cottage was originally an old croft house dating from around 1840. It was carefully
renovated in 1997 and has been furnished and equipped to a high standard throughout to accommodate 6 persons in comfort.

Dornie is
a picturesque village and make an ideal base for exploring the north west highlands. It is situated next to Eilean Donan castle,
once the stronghold of the MacRaes, and where lochs Duich, Long and Alsh meet.
The village has a local convenience store, a small Post Office
and there are 2 local Hotels and a Pub in the village which all serve food.
Nearby Kyle of Lochalsh has a supermarket, bank, chemist, doctor, railway station, swimming
pool and fitness centre. Petrol is vailable in Kyle or locally in Inverinate.
The
local scenery is possibly the most beautiful in Scotland and is steeped in history. The Kintail hills, Glenelg, Skye
and Torridon all lie within easy reach and there is every opportunity to make your holiday as energetic or relaxing as you
like.
